Linda M. (Sundahl) Acre Young, 65 of Sandusky, passed away on Saturday, February 16, 2013, in Stein Hospice Care Center. Linda was born on July 3, 1947 in Pontiac, Michigan to the late Leonard “Sunny” and Shirley (Baker) Sundahl. She was a graduate of Pontiac Central High School in 1965 and attended Olivet College. She was a co-founder of The Brick Stitch House in Norwalk, Fibers by LinDee, and was employed as administrative assistant to the director of Erie County Job and Family Services. Linda did many different things in life, but what she loved most was being Mom and Nana. She enjoyed crafts, crocheting and singing, and was an avid sailor and skier. She was President of the Sandusky Ski Club from 2001 – 2002, and was a member of the Sandusky Sailing Club. She is survived by her current husband of thirteen years, Richard A.” Joe” Young. She was Mom to many and the mother to Denise (John) Robinson of Collins, Ohio, Julie (Dirk) Fuller of Muskegon, Michigan, Erick (Brooke) Acre of Clinton Township, Michigan, and, her nephew Jon Sundahl of Sandusky, Ohio, Kristine DuPont of Cleveland, Ohio, and Amy Young of Wrightsville, Pennsylvania, and Mr. Snickers. She was Nana to her beloved grandchildren, Blake, Andrew, Gabriel, Ethan, Eli, Adeline, Ava, Glenn and Brandon; and sister to Stephen Sundahl of Sandusky, Ohio; and many special cousins, nieces and nephews. Linda was preceded in death by her sister, Joan Sundahl, and her parents. Friends may call from 1 P.M. until time of funeral services at 3 P.M. on Saturday February 23, 2013 in Toft Funeral Home and Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky.
