Frances L. Buchanan, 84, of Sandusky, passed away on Friday, March 1, 2013 in Stein Hospice Care Center.
She was born on April 19, 1928 in Benham, Kentucky.
Frances was a homemaker. She loved to read her Bible, sing and listen to music, go for rides, and, in the past, ride her bike.
She is survived by her children, Rodney L. Buchanan, of Dickerson, Texas, Donna A. (Thomas) Stegman, of Monroeville, Ohio, and George D. Buchanan, Kathryn G. Buchanan, and Debra L. (Jeffrey) Howman, all of Sandusky; twelve grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; three sisters; a brother; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald L. Buchanan; parents, George and Bertha James; grandson, Mathew Philip Stegman; great-granddaughter, Brook Ashley Cooper; and eight sisters and brothers.
Friends may call on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 from 11 A.M. until time of funeral services at 1 P.M. in Faith Memorial Church, 1320 E. Strub Rd., Sandusky. Rev. Ken Hiser will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Frances's memory to Stein Hospice Service, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870.
