Dolly Rose Dann

Dolly Rose Dann, 93, of Norwalk, Ohio, died Friday, March 1, 2013 in Norwalk Memorial Home.

She was born December 28, 1919 in Mt. Vernon, Ohio to the late Joseph and Mary Josephine (Petit) Durieux, and lived most of her life in the Norwalk area. She attended Wakeman Baptist Church. Dolly was a former employee of Rotary Printing and Maple City Rubber Company. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, cooking for her family, collecting cook books, crafting, and especially enjoyed making favors for the dinner trays at Twilight Gardens Nursing Center.

She is survived by her son and daughter in law, John and Betty Dann, of North Fairfield, Ohio, by her daughter and son in law Loretta and John Steedly, of Lexington , South Carolina, by 6 grandchildren, Bryan and Brenda Dann of Delaware, Ohio, Mark and Judith Dann of Utica, Ohio, Lisa and Mike Hintz of Aiken, South Carolina, Chris Fry of Lexington, South Carolina, Kathleen and Tommy Rose of Augusta, Georgia, and Kimberly Fry of Unionville, Pennsylvania, and 12 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald D. Dann, in 2000, by her son in law, Douglas Terry Fry in 1990, by her sisters, Marie Wharton, Violet Simpkins, and Angel Haupricht, by her brothers, Ernest, Herbert, and Oscar Durieux, and by her niece, Marguerite (Peggy) Nickoli.

Friends may call on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main St., Norwalk, Ohio, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Wakeman Cemetery.
