Donald R. Wright, 53, of Norwalk, passed away early Monday morning, March 4, 2013 in Fisher Titus Medical Center after a brief illness.
He was born on August 15, 1959 in Youngstown, Ohio, and graduated from Sandusky High School.
Donald worked for Meijer and Double S Industries.
He was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sandusky. He loved music, collecting albums, shopping, the Cleveland Browns, and going to Cedar Point, where his favorite ride was the Wildcat.
Donald is survived by his mother, Judith A. May; siblings, Sarah Wright, of Sonoma, California, Mary (Bradley) Wright-Nason, of Castalia, Katie Wright, of Norwalk, and Andrew Wright, of Sandusky; nieces and nephews, Abigail, Gabrielle, Annie, Alyson, Jacob, and Loralie; uncle, Joseph Chapel; and cousins, Roger Chapel, Liz Chapel, and Nancy Zuber.
He was preceded in death by his father, James "Bob" R. Wright, on December 27, 2012; infant brother, David Wright; and aunt, Jean Chapel.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. on Friday, March 8, 2013 at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 503 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Rev. John Mawhirter will officiate. Entombment will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
