Lorene Demuth, 68, of Berlin Heights, passed away, surrounded by family and friends, on Saturday, March 16, 2013, in her home after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born in Louisa, KY on March 31, 1944.
Lorene was employed by Fannie Farmer and ACMI.
She loved being outdoors, gardening, bird watching, watching over the farm, and most of all, being with family and friends.
She is survived by her mother, Maudie Pearl (Hughes) Thompson, of Oberlin; daughter, Tammy (Ron) McLoda, of Berlin Heights; step-daughter, Cindy Hoffman, of Cincinnati; grandchildren, Aftan, Douglas, Kelsey (David), and Karen; a great-grandson, Gavin; sisters, Paula (Larry) Bailey, and Rowena (John) Cole, both of Oberlin, Inez Avery, of Berlin Heights, and Suzie (Bob) Snezik, of Collins; brothers, Charles (Cindy) Thompson, of New London, Leslie "Jim" Demuth, and Jon (Debbie) Demuth, both of Berlin Heights, and George (Cheryl) Demuth, of Wakeman; and numerous nieces, nephews, close friends, and other family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas K. Demuth; father, Paul Thompson; sister, Sylvia Nichols; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Elmer and Naida (Bentley) Demuth; and a brother-in-law, Randy Avery.
Private family services will be held. Memorial contributions may be made in Lorene's memory to Stein Hospice Service, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH, 44870.
