Essie M. Glenn, 79, of Sandusky, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, March 17, 2013 in Parkvue Healthcare Center after a lengthy illness.
She was born on December 12, 1933 in Spartanburg, S.C. to the late Lonnie and Bertha (Crawford) Ross.
Essie loved music, cooking, and being with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, Donald E. Glenn; children, Carl Ross, of Winston-Salem, N.C., Avis McIntyre, of Sandusky, David McIntyre, of Winston-Salem, N.C., and Carlos (Sharon) Berry, of Bellevue; 10 grandchildren, including Terrance (Michele) Porter, Norvell McIntyre, Kyle Jenkins, and Pamela Ross; and 12 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Lonnie Ross; and sister, Bessie Haith.
Friends may call on Friday, March 22, 2013 from 11 A.M. until time of funeral services at Noon at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Pastor Steve Robinson will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky.
