Jean Ott

Jean Ott, 81, of Norwalk, passed away peacefully Sunday afternoon, surrounded by her children at the Stein Hospice Care Center following a lengthy illness.

Jean was born September 30, 1931, in Norwalk, Ohio to the late Howard and Elizabeth (Schiffel) Latham.
She retired from the former Rotary Printing Company, as a graphic artist. More recently, Jean worked at the Homestead Inn and Berry's Restaurant.
Jean attended St. Paul's Catholic Church in Norwalk, and was a member of The Norwalk Eagles. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, and spending time with friends and family, especially her grandchildren. Jean had a special talent for baking pies for the people she loved. She enjoyed traveling, and through her work, she lived in multiple destinations, including West Palm Beach, FL, Providence, RI, and Nashville, TN. She fell in love with Paris on a recent trip with her son, James.

Jean is survived by her three sons, James (Darlene) Babcock of Gahanna, Ohio, William Babcock of Norwalk, Ohio, and Steven (Stephanie) Russell of Milan, Ohio; two daughters, Jennifer Ott of Vail, Colorado, and Kimberly (Kamal) Ott-Chaban of Huron, Ohio; five grandchildren, Jensen, Elizabeth, Michael, Quinn, and Gloria; one sister, Patricia Spayd of Sandusky, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Private family services will take place in Milan Cemetery. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, Milan, are handling the arrangements.
