Donald Nay, 84, of Fremont passed away Monday, April 1, 2013 at Countryside Continuing Care Center in Fremont.
He was born July 28, 1928 in Venedocia, Ohio the son of Francis and Edith (Geren) Nay. Don served in the United States Army. He worked for the Nickel Plate Railroad and also for Kelsey Hayes. He enjoyed trains, fishing, the Toledo Mud Hens, and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Faye (Mooney) Nay of Fremont; a son, Charles Nay (Talya) of Washington; daughters: Colleen (Michael) Baur of Bellevue, Gloria (Don) Mooney of Fremont, Tina Hatcher of Fremont, and Lori Nay of Fremont; 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, daughter in law; Katherine Nay of Spokane, WA, brothers; Larry Nay and Kenneth Nay of Florida; and sister, Mary Allen of Michigan.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Doris Nay whom he married Oct. 28, 1948, she preceded him on Aug 22, 1968; a son, Dennis Nay; great-grandson, Dylan Mooney; sisters: Louella Twardzik, Carol Mullins, Doris Rinker, and Charlene Feld; and brothers: Bob Nay, David Nay, and Jimmy Nay.
Friends will be received on Saturday, April 6, 2013 from 2 p.m. until a memorial service begins at 4 p.m. at Foos Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 504 E. McPherson Highway, Clyde.
