Marceal J. Crotty, age 90 of Ocala, FL and formerly of Huron, passed away Monday, April 8, 2013 at Ocala Regional medical Center.
She was born Dec. 31, 1922 in Bellevue the daughter of the late Harry & Lollie Richards. Marceal was the youngest of 9 children, 4 brothers and 4 sisters.
She graduated from Bellevue High School in the class of 1941.
On December 1, 1949 Marceal married the love of her life Austin B. Crotty and moved to Monroeville, OH. With her love for children, she went to nursing school in Sandusky, then to Duke University where she specialized in pediatric nursing. She worked at Memorial Hospital in Sandusky until both she and Austin retired, they traveled in their motor home each winter to Florida and spent the rest of the year in Huron at their Lake Erie home. She moved to Ocala 12 years ago, where she enjoyed traveling and going out to eat with friends and family.
She is survived by her daughter, Terri (David) Berger of Ocala, FL and a grandson Austin Berger.
In addition to her parents and siblings she was preceded in death by her husband Austin on Jan 11, 1985. Now they are all together again.
The funeral service will be Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 11:00 am at Meadowgreen Mausoleum, 2602 Bogart Rd., Huron, OH with Fr. Jonathan Wight officiating. Entombment will be at Meadowgreen Mausoleum.
