Norma P. Eisenhauer, age 87, of Castalia, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 10, 2013, surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born September 22, 1925 in Castalia, and graduated from Margaretta High School in 1944. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Castalia. Norma worked for the Castalia Post Office for 27 years, and prior to that she worked for the former Philco for 18 years. Norma owned and operated a gift shop in Castalia for a few years.
Aunt Normie had such a passion for life. She loved nature and all the beautiful things that earth had to offer; the birds and the flowers. She had such a green thumb; why she never met a "flower" she couldn't grow!
She was a treasure and real jewel to everyone that knew and loved her.
She is survived by nephews Chuck (Deb) Eisenhauer, Brad Eisenhauer, Nathan (Ann) Howards, Mathhew (Gerri) Howards, Timothy (Jan) Howards, and Daniel (Connie) Howards; nieces Becky Eisenhauer, Diana (Howard) Bolen, and Pam (Darden) Moore; many great nieces, nephews, great-great nieces, nephews; and many friends.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Josephine (Bateman) Eisenhauer; brother Milton Eisenhauer; and sister Dorothy Howard.
Friends may call from 10:00 AM until time of services starting at 12:00 Noon, Monday, April 15, 2013, at Grace Lutheran Church, 203 S. Washington St., Castalia, OH. Rev. Kathleen Suggitt will officiate. Burial will be in Castalia Cemetery.
