John D. Biecheler, 65, of Sandusky, passed away Monday morning, April 15, 2013 at his residence.
John was born on September 9, 1947 in Sandusky, to the late John and Lauretta (Kaiser) Biecheler.
John was a Veteran of the Army who proudly served his country in Vietnam from 1967 to 1968. He was employed as a printer at Erie Bay Graphics and Commercial Printing and he was a member of St. Mary's Church in Sandusky. In his spare time he enjoyed gardening, canning, and Ohio sports teams. John especially loved his job and spending time with his family.
John is survived by his wife, Rita (Woodrow); two sons, John Joseph (Missy) Biecheler and Travis James Biecheler; eleven grandchildren; three siblings, Joanne Youskievicz, Jeanette (Mike) Lippert, and Paul (Lillie) Biecheler; one brother-in-law, Darrell Hurlburt; and several nieces and nephews.
Including his parents, John is preceded in death by his sister Margaret; two grandchildren; and brother-in-law Lou Youskievicz.
Friends may call Wednesday, April 17, 2013 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky, OH 44870. A prayer service will be held Thursday, April 18th, 2013 at 9:30 am in the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00 am in St. Mary's Catholic Church, 429 Central Ave., Sandusky, OH 44870 with Father Jason Kahle presiding. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
