Irene Janice Johnson, formerly of Vickery (White's Landing), OH, passed away on April 20, 2013, at Sterling House in Marion, OH.
She was born June 8, 1921, to the late Dewey and Fannie Richardson. Her husband, Winfred C. Johnson, preceded her in death in 2002. She moved to Marion, OH in 2005 to join her daughter, Jo Ella (Fred) Fosco and family.
Left to cherish Irene's memory are her daughters, Janette (Reggie) Mesenburg of Chattanooga, TN and Jo Ella (Fred) Fosco of Marion, OH. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, parents, three sisters, and one brother, Irene was preceded in death by her only son, Harvey Clay Johnson. Daughter-in-law, Nora Johnson, survives in California. Also surviving are sisters Ada Carpenter and Oma Head of Tennessee.
The family will greet friends on April 26, 2013, at Calvary Baptist Church, 1810 E. Perkins Avenue, Sandusky, OH 44870, one hour prior to the service celebrating Irene's life set to begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
