Marcella M. "Sally" Huffman age 91 of Bellevue passed away Monday, April 22, 2013 at the Willows at Bellevue.
She was born in Reed, Ohio the daughter of the late Clements & Bertha Ruffing. She married Ralph Huffman on November 21, 1945. He preceded her in death on July 26, 2003.
Sally was a well-known local seamstress, doing alterations, making doll clothes and teddy bears for many years. She and her late husband also restored several hundred old trunks as a hobby. She was member of Immaculate Conception Church and the Altar Rosary Society.
Survivors include her daughters; Kathleen (Tom) Schart of Green Valley, AZ, Cynthia (Lowell J.) Scheid of Curtice, OH, Patricia (Michael) Stevens of Norwalk, Brenda (Jack) Ziegler of Republic, Rhonda (Thomas) Joseph of Bellevue; 14 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 4 step great-grandchildren; and sisters, Mary Ann (Robert) Niedermier of Attica, and Marlene (William) Cleland of Attica.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, an infant daughter, brothers, Sylvester, Richard, and Wilbur Ruffing, and sisters, Verna Mae Sanger and Norma Echelberry.
Friends will be received Tuesday, April 30, 2013 from 3-8 p.m. at Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place where the Rosary will be recited at 2:30 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 beginning at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church 231 E. Center, St. Bellevue. Burial will follow at Bellevue Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to, Fish and Loaves or Memorial Hospice.
