Carl R. "Buzz" Balduff, Sr., 54, of Monroeville died unexpectedly Saturday, December 4, 2010 in the Mercy Allen Hospital, Oberlin.
He was born December 25, 1955 in Bellevue and was a U.S. Marine Corp. Veteran of the Vietnam War. Carl was a self-employed truck driver since 1990. Prior to this, he had worked at Thompson Industries, Monroeville and Cooper Radiator, Norwalk. He was a member of the American Legion Post 547, Monroeville and the V.F.W. Post 2743, Norwalk. His hobbies included extending a helping hand, working on cars, hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, the former Claudia E. Dominguez, whom he married on April 1, 1978, three children: Carl R. Balduff, Jr. of Norwalk, Bonnie E. Balduff and Maria C. (Eugene) Balduff Stallard, both of Monroeville, two grandchildren: Sydney J. Balduff and Tarron E. Baican, three sisters: Lerenda (Rick) Thomas of Castalia, Melissa (Tom) Greathouse of Bloomville, and Tracy Balduff, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Lloyd J. & Bonnie (Querin) Balduff, one brother: Lloyd L. Balduff and one sister in infancy. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday at the Congregational Community United Church of Christ, 29 Chapel Street, Monroeville. The Rev. Dr. Wayne Chasney will officiate. Inurnment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Monroeville.
