Viola E. Francis, 12, of Sandusky, Ohio passed away in Sandusky Bay while kayaking with her father.
She was born September 12, 2000 in Sandusky, Ohio . Viola attended Margaretta Junior High School. She enjoyed the outdoors and sharing the same enthusiasm for water sports and camping that her father also enjoyed. Viola was a creative free spirit, enjoying artistic doodling, drawing, making clay sculptures, videogames and movies, spending time with her brothers and sister, and was a natural born director with her cell phone camera and video camera.
She is survived by her mother and step father, Ruth A. Brown and Timothy Snyder Jr. of Sandusky, Ohio and by her siblings, Timmy Snyder III, Seth Snyder and Taylor Snyder, all of Sandusky, Ohio. Viola is also survived by her grandparents, Douglas and Debbie Francis of Willard, Ohio, Gwen Humphreys and Terry Gwinner of Willard, Ohio, Elizabeth Brown of Mansfield, Ohio, and Karlene and Richard Cottrill of Yuma, Arizona, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Viola was preceded in death by her father, Jonathan D. Francis and by her grandfather, Ricky L. Brown in 2011.
Friends may call on Thursday, May 9, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 10, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in the Norwalk First United Methodist Church, 60 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Rev. Earl Sexton will officiate. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Norwalk, Ohio.
