Daniel "Gene" Gore age 51 of Bellevue passed away Tuesday, December 07, 2010 at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky.
He was born September 3, 1959 in Bellevue the son of Billy & Darlene (Ridings) Gore. Gene was the owner of Solid Foundations in Bellevue. He was a member of Providence Baptist Church where he was a Sunday school teacher and headed up the buildings and grounds committee, a member of the Gridiron Foundation and a 1977 graduate of Bellevue Senior High School. He enjoyed hunting with his sons and loved calling his daughter "baby girl". He was a born again Christian and the spiritual leader in his home and was a father figure to many young men in the community. Gene will be remembered as a big hearted man who became softer hearted over the years.
He is survived by his wife Valerie (Valko) Gore whom he married Oct 1, 1983 at Lyme Village, his sons Dawson Gore, Chase Gore, daughter, Rachel Gore, mother, Darlene Gore, brother, Ray (Jeannie) Gore, and nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his son, Tyler Gore, father, Billy Gore and his sister Linda Smith.
Friends will be received Friday December 10, 2010 from 2:00 until 8:00 pm at Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue. His funeral service will be Saturday at 9:00 am at the Bellevue Athletic Fieldhouse, 200 Oakland Ave, Bellevue officiated by Rev. Jon Shepherd of Providence Baptist Church. Burial will be in York Chapel Cemetery.
