Ray W. Long, 75, of Norwalk, Ohio, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Monday evening, May 20, 2013 in the Stein Hospice Care Center, surrounded by his family.
He was born October 10, 1937 in Willard, Ohio to the late Virgil W. and Velma B. (Cronenwett) Long and moved to Norwalk, Ohio in 1964. Ray attended the Milan Friends Church and was a former employee of Holiday Harbor Marina in Huron, Ohio and Prepared Foods of Sandusky, Ohio. He enjoyed auto and boat mechanics, camping, and going for drives to Amish Country.
Ray is survived by his wife of 53 years, Patricia J. (Kinney) Long of Norwalk, Ohio, by his children, Randy J. and Angel Long of Catawba Island, Ohio, David A. and Rebecca Long of Milan, Ohio, Kimberly A. and Wayne Towslee of Norwalk, Ohio, Joseph E. and Lori Long of Norwalk, Ohio, Steven W. Long (Robin Tusing) of Milan, Ohio and Louisville, Kentucky, Julie R. and Kenneth Chill of Monroeville, Ohio, and John C. Long (Lisa Ours) of Norwalk, Ohio, 19 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and one great grandchild soon to be born. He is also survived by his siblings, Gene A. and Carol Long of Shelby, Ohio, Linda V. Laux of Norwalk, Ohio and Gary C. and Marty Long of Norwalk, Ohio.
Ray was preceded in death by his mother, Velma B. Long.
