Albert "Al" K. Stierhoff, 66, of Sandusky, passed away on Wednesday morning, May 22, 2013 in Stein Hospice Care Center after a brief illness.
He was born on September 18, 1946 in Sandusky to the late Dwight and Rose (Geiger) Stierhoff. Albert graduated from Huron High School.
Al proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, fighting in the country of Vietnam as an infantry soldier. Upon his return to Sandusky, he then worked for 30 years as a union electrician.
An avid outdoorsman, Al loved hunting, fishing, working in his yard, and woodworking. He could "fix anything."
Al is survived by his wife of 47 years, Beverly Stierhoff; daughters, Rhonda (Rick) Smatlak, of Erie, Michigan, and Amy (Jason) Kendrioski, of Oregon, Ohio; and grandsons, Dominic and "Vinny".
Friends may call on Friday, May 24, 2013 from 10 A.M. until time of memorial services at 11 A.M. at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Pastor Jamie Stewart, chaplain for Stein Hospice, will officiate, and the American Legion Post 83 Honor Guard will provide military honors.
