Major General William B. Maxson, USAF(Ret.) died on January 3rd, 2013 in Jacksonville, Florida.
Bill is survived by his wife, Nancy H. Maxson of Atlantic Beach, FL; daughter Suzanne and husband John Maltz; grandsons Eric, Ryan, Kyle and Drew Maltz; son Robert W. Maxson NOAA SES & Captain (Ret.) and wife Mary Ellen; granddaughters Leigh and her husband Matt Lilla and Katelyn Maxson.
Nancy Maxson is the former Nancy Hewett, daughter of Larry & Helen (Squire) Hewett and granddaughter of Ira & Mae Squire all of who are buried at McPherson Cemetery along with Helen's sister, Dorothy Squire Neiman.
Clyde was Nancy's hometown for her elementary years. Her parents, Larry & Helen Hewett were married September 29, 1929 in Grace Episcopal Church. Helen Squire graduated from Clyde High School. Nancy's grandfather, Ira Squire, was very active in many community projects, especially the Library.
Fond memories and family ties are bringing the Maxsons back to Clyde and they are thankful they've chosen this wonderful small town as their final resting place.
A memorial service with full military honors will be held Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 11:00 am in McPherson Cemetery.
