Robert C. Barman, Jr., 66, of Bowling Green, Ohio, and formerly of Norwalk, Ohio, died early Sunday morning, June 2, 2013 in Bowling Green Manor Nursing Center.
He was born September 28, 1946 in Norwalk, Ohio to the late Robert C. and Rachel E. (O'Dell) Barman, Sr. Bob was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and was a veteran of the United States Navy serving four tours of duty in Vietnam. He was a former employee of the Apollo Oil Company of San Diego, California. Bob enjoyed model cars, fishing, bowling, gardening, being outdoors, bird watching, and was an avid horseshoe player.
He is survived by his children, Robert C. Barman, III of California and Sharlene S. Theakston of California. Bob is also survived by his brothers and sisters in law, Douglas N. and Alexis Barman of New London, Ohio and Steven B. and Barbara Barman of Norwalk, Ohio and by his sister and brother in law, Andrea J. and Marvin Ott of Norwalk, Ohio, by several nieces and nephews, and by a lifelong friend, Mike McFadden of Norwalk, Ohio.
Friends may call on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 East Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Rev. Frank Kehres will officiate. Interment will be in St. Paul Cemetery.
