Beverly V. Dorsey, 88, of Norwalk, died early Thursday morning, June 6, 2013, in Norwalk Memorial Home, after a lingering illness.
She was born July 13, 1924 in Patapsco, Maryland, to the late Hayden H. and Etta G. Chew and came to Ohio in 1956. She was attended the United Church of Christ in Monroeville, Ohio. Beverly graduated with honors from St. John's High School, in Westminster, Maryland. She was the coordinator of Huron County Meals on Wheels for 20 years. She had also worked for Thompson Industries, formerly Berry Plastics, Monroeville, Ohio.
She is survived by her daughters and sons in law, SuEllen (Tim) Petersen of Norwalk, Ohio, Brenda (Ron) Robison, of Norwalk, Ohio, and Debbie (Robert) Rouse, of Monroeville, Ohio, by her grandchildren Christie Phal, Chad Foos, Carie Brown, Matt Robison, Adam Rouse, Michael Petersen, and Ben Petersen, and by 14 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Kyle Petersen. Friends may call on Monday, June 10, 2013, from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at 11:00 a.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main St., Norwalk, Ohio. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Monroeville, Ohio.
