Edna L. Keegan, 96, of Bellevue, entered into heaven, Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at The Bellevue Care Center.
She was born at home on Castalia Street, October 14, 1916, the daughter of August and Emma K. (Berner) Christman. She married Russell L. Keegan on April 9, 1939 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Bellevue; he preceded her in death in 1992.
She was member of St. John's Lutheran Church, and found great joy from doing needle point projects, baking and also enjoyed her grandchildren.
She is survived by her son: LaMar R. (Kathryn) Keegan of Bellevue and daughter, Christie (Dale) Gittinger, Bellevue. Grandchildren: Doug L. (Diane) Keegan, Dennis L Keegan, Denise K. (Tim Fritz) Keegan, Scott D. (Lisa) Gittinger, Kim S. Hrynciw, Kathy L. (Chris) Ray; Great-grandchildren: Holly Halbisen, Kory Keegan, Travis Keegan, Cody Keegan, Tyler Keegan, Katie Keegan, Madison Hrynciw, Keegan Ray, Preston Ray, Jakob Hrynciw, and Morgan Ray; and great-great granddaughter, Sophia Halbisen.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Pauline Keegan and Helen Martin.
Friends will be received on Thursday, June 20, 2013 from 4 - 7 pm at Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue. The funeral service will be held on Friday, June 21, 2013 at 10:00 am St. John's Lutheran Church, 209 Southwest Street, Bellevue. Burial will follow at Parkhurst Cemetery.
