Anita K. Travis, 73, of Huron, went home to be with the Lord on Friday evening, June 21, 2013, after a brief battle with cancer.
Anita was born on October 27, 1939 in Albright, WV to the late Ercil and Clara (Roy) Sleeth. She was a faithful servant to her Lord and Savior, and an active member of The Chapel in Sandusky for the past 20 years.
Anita was an avid reader, an extremely talented quilter, and an outstanding cook. Most of all she enjoyed sharing her faith and encouraging others.
Anita is survived by her beloved children, Richard Travis of Huron, Susan Travis of Bellevue, and Robert Travis of New London; grandchildren Harmony, Amberly, Sami (Tyler) and Bradley (Cassidy); and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Anita is preceded in death by her siblings William Sleeth and Shirley (Sleeth) Glover.
Friends may call on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at 10:00 am at The Chapel, 4444 Galloway Rd, Sandusky, OH 44870 with Pastor Bill Schroeder presiding. Burial will follow in Scott Cemetery, Huron, OH.
