Karen M. Schauss, 68, of Milan, Ohio, died early Saturday morning, June 22, 2013 in Briarfield of Milan Nursing Center.
She was born October 31, 1944 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Paul H. and Pauline E. (Bremer) Sutter and came to this area in 1947 from Detroit. Karen attended Kent State University and St. Peter Lutheran Church, Norwalk, Ohio. She was a former employee of K & H. Drug Store in Norwalk, Ohio and enjoyed art, painting with watercolor, music and playing bingo.
Karen is survived by her brothers and sisters in law, Thomas P. and Mary Lynn Sutter of North Fairfield, Ohio, and Michael W. and Donna Sutter of Norwalk, Ohio, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Schauss.
There will be no calling hours. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in Woodlawn Cemetery, Norwalk, Ohio. Rev. David Connor will officiate.
