Carol  Howell

Carol Howell 67, residing in Sandusky, passed away Thursday afternoon at the Stein Hospice Care Center after a 17 year battle with ovarian cancer.

Carol was born on May 17, 1946 in Fremont, Ohio to the late Walter Woodrow and Edna Mae (Massman) Noftz. Carol was raised in Clyde, Ohio and graduated from Clyde High School in 1965.

Carol was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church. She also was a member of the Remember Cruisin Car Club. She enjoyed going to car shows, spending winters in Florida, shopping and spending time with all her friends. Her greatest joy was to spend time with her children and grandchildren.

Carol is survived by her husband Bob Howell whom she married on December 17, 2000, one daughter Tammy (Brian) Drossman of Milan; one step daughter, Tonya (James) Watts of Maumee; one son, Shawn (Autumn) Skinner, of Columbus; two step sons, Dan (Tina) Howell and Tim (Nicole) Howell both of Sandusky; 13 grandchildren; Ethan, Gavin, Obbsession, Rikkie, Kolby, Tyler, Braden, Blake, Evan, Elliott, Emmerson, Logan, and Hunter, two great grandchildren, Micah and Naujae; one sister, Mary (Donald) Lovins of Sandusky, several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Including her parents, Carol is preceded in death by her first husband, Harry Skinner.

Friends may call on Monday from 5-8 PM at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10:30AM in the funeral home. Pastor John Mawhirter will officiate. Burial will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery in Norwalk.
