Frances June Joseph, 87, of Norwalk, Ohio, died Tuesday morning, July 2, 2013 in Gaymont Nursing Center.

She was born March 14, 1926 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Carl E. and Margaret (Howard) Hornbach and was a lifelong area resident. Frances was a member of the Norwalk First United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Naomi Ruth Circle. She was also a member of Eagles Aerie #711 Auxiliary, the Firelands Senior Center, Golden Agers, and played in the Fun Band. Frances retired from Faulhaber's in Monroeville, Ohio in 1991 and was a former employee of the Shelby Depot, Interstate Diner and Peg's Restaurant.

She is survived by her daughter, Janet Joseph of Norwalk, Ohio, by her brother, Fred Stanford of Norwalk, Ohio, by her sister, Lilian Nenni of Albion, New York, by her grandchildren, Justin, Kevin, and Alicia, by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer W. Joseph in 1988, by her sister, Margaret Hazelwood, in 1993 and by her foster parents, Leslie and Mable (Sallabank) Stanford.

Friends may call on Sunday, July 7, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 8, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Norwalk First United Methodist Church, 60 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Rev. Brian Oglesbee will officiate. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Norwalk, Ohio.
