Edna May Walters, 88, of Bellevue passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at The Willows at Bellevue.
She was born June 7, 1925 in Tiffin the daughter of Gilbert and Hazel (Taylor) Garland. She married Louis Walters on July 29, 1945 in Fireside, Ohio.
Edna was a homemaker. She was an active member of Fireside United Church of Christ. Throughout the years she helped with Sunday school, participated in the choir, and many other activities. She enjoyed gardening, especially caring for her flowers, reading, and taking walks in the woods.
She is survived by her two sons: Roger (Kathie) of Clyde, Ken (Carol) of Huron, daughter; Becky (Steve) Burroughs of Bellevue, 8 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, brother; Carl Garland of Defiance, sister Ruth Briehl of Tiffin.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
A private funeral service will be held. Arrangements are in care of Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Memorial Hospice or the donor's favorite charity.
