Anna M. "Tootie" Stegman, 82, of Norwalk, Ohio, died Tuesday, July 23,, 2013 in Norwalk Memorial Home.
She was born August 6, 1930 in Bellevue, Ohio to the late Darwin and Elsa (Leber) Andrews and was a lifelong area resident. Anna was a member of the St. John United Church of Christ where she had been a member of the church council. She was a former member of Grange. Anna had driven school bus for Norwalk City Schools, was a cook at Milan Schools, and had worked at West Baking Company and Durable Mat. She enjoyed needlework, knitting, crocheting, and yard work.
Anna is survived by her children, Thomas E. and Donna Stegman of Monroeville, Ohio and Karen A. and Ralph Hedrick of Monroeville, Ohio. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Shawn Stegman, Jaime Stegman, Kaylin Hedrick, Dave Hedrick, and Kelly Kohler and by her great grandchildren,Faye Smith, Kathleen Montion, Julia Kohler, Colleen Kohler, Grady Hedrick, Meghan Hedrick, Davis Hedrick, Ryan Hedrick and Jolee Valliant. Anna is also survived by her sisters, Luetta Prout of Castalia, Ohio, Patricia Vassallo of Sandusky, Ohio, Linda Brunow of Sandusky, Bonnie Shelley of Norwalk, Ohio and Katie Shelley of Upper Arlington, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton "Mert" Stegman in 1988 and by her grandson, Matthew Stegman in 1998.
Friends may call on Friday, July 26, 2013 in St. John United Church of Christ, 2712 West Mason Road, Sandusky, Ohio, from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Wendy Schindler Chasney will officiate. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery.
