Donna J. Runals, 75, of Norwalk, Ohio, died Thursday, July 25, 2013 in Cleveland Metro Hospital after a sudden illness.
She was born April 19, 1938 in Albion, Michigan to the late Harold S. and Cassie B. (Kay) (Doxsie) Allen, and was a lifelong area resident. Donna was a 1956 graduate of Norwalk High School. She enjoyed playing bingo, and crossword puzzles, and flowers. She loved her family, was a wonderful mother, grandmother and cook. Donna always made Christmas cookies to pass out to her family and friends. She was a former employee of Wappler Instrument Co. (Olympus) of Norwalk, Ohio, Linda's Bake Shop of New London, Ohio and Thomson Industries of New London, Ohio.
Donna is survived by her children, Darren J. and Julie Mingus of Norwalk, Ohio, Valerie J. Tetrick and Jamie Owens of Wakeman, Ohio, and Brian S. and Anna Mingus of Norwalk, Ohio. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, by one great grandchild soon to be born, and by her siblings, Beverly A. Wolford of Willard, Ohio, Kenneth E. Allen of Cross Junction, Virginia, and Patricia K. Shupe of Caldwell, Idaho.
Donna was preceded in death by her first husband, Ronald Mingus, by her second husband, Harold Runals, by her grandson, Ryan Tetrick, by her siblings, Charlotte Peterson, Harold R. Allen, and Donald G. Allen.
Friends may call on Monday, July 29, 2013 from 12:00 Noon until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Rev. Dan Johnson, Pastor of Victory Baptist Church, Norwalk, Ohio will officiate.
