Sharon Elizabeth Ostheimer (Boetticher), born July 10th., 1943, was lifted by grace to be with her heavenly father on Monday, the 29th, 2013.
A lifelong resident of Sandusky, Ohio Sharon had recently celebrated her 70th year of blessings. She was born to parents Dorothy (nee Winklea) and Harold Boetticher. Sharon was proceeded in death by her father, mother, and recently her younger brother, Harold Jr. (Sonny).
Sharon spent 37 years employed at Firelands Hospital and its prior entities. Starting as a part time switchboard operator at the old Good Samaritan, Sharon retired as supervisor of ER Registration. Sharon was noted for her compassion to all people and the desire to make all patients as comfortable as possible during their stay at Firelands. S
he is survived by her husband James, sons Brian (Cincinnati), Chad (Powell, Ohio), his wife Jennifer, and their two sons, Zachary and Owen, sister-in-law Sandy, niece Amy (New Albany, Ohio), nephew Kevin (Huron, Ohio) and a host of other nieces and nephews, many cousin and special friends.
The family will greet visitation guests at Groff Funeral Homes and Crematory (1607 East Perkins Avenue) Sandusky on Thursday, August 1st, 2013 from 5 to 8PM. Services will be held at Sharon's church, St. John of Groton Twp. located at 9500 SR 99. [ SR4 South to SR99 South, under the Ohio Turnpike to the Strecker Road intersection. St. John's is directly ahead on the left side] An additional hour of visitation will be held at 10AM until Christian services at 11AM on Friday August 2nd.
Christian services will be led by Pastor Jim Michaels celebrating Sharon's life. Following services, the family invites guests to gather in the church basement for a period of food and fellowship.
Private family interment will take place at Oxford Township Cemetery, Bloomingville.
