Waudell William White passed away Friday afternoon, July 26, 2013, in Pheonix, AZ after a brief illness.
Waudell was born in Sandusky, OH on May 9, 1941, to Robert and Harriet (Nelson) White.
He graduated in 1959 from Sandusky High, where he excelled in football. He began work at Ford Motor Company in 1962, where he remained for 32 years before retiring in 1994. He married Sarah Alice Morrow on March 16, 1963. They had three children.
Though he retired to Arizona, he never stopped following his beloved Cleveland Browns.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers Wilbur, Danny, Sclee, Levi, Melvin and Fred; and his sisters Shirley Jemison and Marilyn White.
Waudell is survived by his wife Sarah White of Peoria, AZ; daughters Angela McArdell of Washington, DC and Dr. Cheryl White of Peoria, AZ; son Gerald (Patricia) of Sandusky, OH; brother Franklin (Willa) White of Dayton, OH; sisters Lurlay Mills of Richmond, CA and Phyllis (Paul) Morris of San Diego, CA; special sister-in-law Beverly White of West Covina, CA; special niece Sherry Washington of Covina, CA; grandchildren Tieara (Daishun) Brown, Terrance Churchwell, Tania White, and Tré White, all of Sandusky; and great-grandchildren Daishun Jr., Javin, Alaya and Amillion. He is survived by many cousins, in-laws, nieces, nephews and family friends.
Friends may call on Monday, August 5, 2013 from 12:00 pm until the time of funeral services at 1:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes and Crematory 1607 E. Perkins Ave. Sandusky, OH with Pastor Darrell Gant officiating.
