Donald A. Janik, 81, of Norwalk, Ohio, died Wednesday, July 31, 2013 in the Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, Ohio.
He was born January 18, 1932 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Anton and Mary (Klatik) Janik. He lived most of his life in Arizona and Texas and only recently came to this area. Donald was a master carpenter. He enjoyed building, designing, and developing things. Donald was a Christian and enjoyed reading and studying his Bible.
He is survived by his children, Robert and Susan Janik of Norwalk, Ohio and Deborah and James Redmond of Glendale, Arizona, by 4 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, and 11 step great grandchildren. Donald is also survived by his sisters and brother in law, Carol and Tom Bakos of North Ridgeville, Ohio and Diane Evert of Grafton, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Gloria Krecic and Mary Ann Roth.
Friends may call on Saturday, August 2, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. at the Foundation Church, 87 West Main Street, (Located behind St. Paul Episcopal Church) Norwalk, Ohio. Rev. Robert Hudberg will officiate.
