Richell A. Thayer, 39, of Sandusky, passed away Tuesday afternoon, August 6, 2013 following a sudden illness, at Firelands Regional Medical center.
She was born August 18, 1973 in Cawood, KY. to the late David Hensley and Ethel "Mitzi" Gurtz. Richell was a graduate of Vermillion High School. She had a special love for all animals, especially cats. She enjoyed music, motorcycles, collecting angels, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband of five years, Joe Thayer; her son Rusty Kirkpatrick of Ashland; brother, David Hensley; grandparents, Calvin (Martha) Perdue of Plain City, Ohio; special aunt and uncles, Vicki(Mark) Ohly, and John "Tim" Quillen; special cousins, Jessica (Lamar) Sweigart, and Ryan (Rafaela) Ohly; several aunts, uncles, and other family members from Cawood, KY.
Including her parents, she is preceded in death by several aunts and uncles.
At Richell's request no services will take place. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Cawood, KY. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory are assisting the family with arrangements.
