Susan K. Ruggles, age 49, of Norwalk, passed away Saturday morning, August 10, 2013 after a very brief battle with Inflammatory Breast Cancer, surrounded by her family and friends.
She was born November 22, 1963 in Norwalk. She enjoyed antiquing, gardening, reading, cooking and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her son, Stanley Brummitt of Norwalk; daughter, Elizabeth Brummitt of Vermilion; granddaughter, Heavynn; sister, Patricia (Daniel) Rockwell of Norwalk; and half-sister, Cristie (Adam) Stadler of AL; and her dog, Joey.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Bonnie (Fox) Thurman and father, Charles Castle.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday at 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. Private interment will be held at a later date.
