Pastor Brian A.D. Curley, 40, Port Clinton, left this life and entered into his eternal reward on Friday, December 24, 2010.
He was born on August 28, 1970 in Port Clinton to William A. and Paula M. (Boggs) Curley. Brian attended Port Clinton High School and served in the U.S. Navy. He had a fulfilling career in the medical profession and then followed the call of God on his life to become an ordained minister and touched many lives all over the world. Pastor Brian was a vital pillar of the community and was involved in many programs and activities to ensure a brighter future. He ministered on a weekly television program called "Bridging the Gap" and was a frequent guest on others.
He is survived by the love of his live, his wife, Katherine Curley, who he married on April 3, 1999; children, Sean Rivera, Demetrius Bryant Curley, and Brianna Nicole Curley; mother, Paula Curley; brother, Austin (Mindy) Curley all of Port Clinton; step sister, Sophia (Frank) Williams, O'Fallon, MO; step brothers, William "Bill" Curley, Sandusky, General Curley and Jarvis Curley, both of Texas.
He was preceded in death by his father, William A. Curley; grandmothers, Alma Buxton and Mattie Curley; great grandmother, Rosa Boggs; a special uncle that mentored him in ministry and music, Pastor Harold Boggs; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends may call on Thursday, December 30, 2010, from 10 A.M. until time of the home going celebration at 12 P.M. Noon in Erie Shores Assembly of God, 220 S. Gill Rd., Port Clinton. Burial will be in Christy Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pastor Brian Curley Memorial Fund, in care of Key Bank, 201 Madison St., Port Clinton, OH, 43452.
