Barbara E. (Meinert) Querin, 76, of 77 N. Prospect Street, Norwalk, died early Wednesday morning, August 28, 2013 in the Parkvue Health Care Center, Sandusky following a lengthy illness.
She was born December 7, 1936 in Sandusky. Barbara was retired from the Fisher-Titus Hospital, Norwalk and was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Norwalk.
She is survived by four daughters: Maryee (William) Braddock, Kathy (James) Bischoff, both of Bellevue, Laura Querin of Norwalk, Diane Querin (Keith) of Huron, two sons: Donald (Debi) Querin of Willard and John (Tammy) Querin of Monroeville, seven grandchildren: Jennifer, Nathan (Jessica) and Michelle Bischoff, Michael (Amy) and Amanda Braddock, Matt (Kayla) and Josh (Tabitha) Querin, two great grandchildren: Ryker and Jaxon Querin, one sister: Carol Gast of Sandusky, one brother: Douglas "Butch" Ridgecrest of California, and close family friends: Joe, Kathy, and Brandon Doyon and Rose Brown.
She was preceded in death by her ex-husband: Burdell Querin, her parents: Max & Edith (Shupe) Meinert, one son-in-law: Mark Hale, seven brothers: Gary, Max Jr., Wilbur, Eugene, Melvin, Carl, and Clifford, one step-brother: Ralph Jessie, and four sisters: Donna Gessner, Eleanor Fisher, and two in infancy.
There will be no visitation. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, August 30, 2013 in the Meadow Green Memorial Park Chapel, 2602 Bogart Road, Huron, Ohio. Chaplain Mel Sayler of Stein Hospice Service will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Stein Hospice Service, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, Ohio 44870.
