Susan L. Bush, 62, Sandusky, passed away on Sunday morning, September 8, 2013 in Firelands Regional Medical Center after a lengthy illness.
She was born on September 22, 1950 in Parkersburg, W. Virginia to the late William and Dora (Smith) Marty.
Susan was employed as a nurses' aid at the Ohio Veterans Home for 30 years, retiring in 2002. She loved to go to casinos, loved her cats, watching classic television shows, and going out to eat with her husband, especially to the V.F.W. and Eagles Club.
Susan is survived by her husband, Paul E. Bush, whom she married on December 21, 1968; siblings, James (Sandy) Marty, Paul Marty, and Cindy (Danny) Smith, all of Sandusky; numerous nieces and nephews; special sister-in-law, Betty Hill, of Huron; and special nephew, Doug, of Huron.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Fuggitt.
At Susan's request, there will be no viewing. Cremation will take place at the Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Private inurnment will take place at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Susan's name to Erie County Cancer Services, 505 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky, OH 44870 or to the Erie County Humane Society, 1911 Superior St., Sandusky, OH 44870.
