Lois June Kinney, 87, of Norwalk, died on Saturday, September 7, 2013.
She was born in Bedford, Pennsylvania on June 17, 1926 to the (late) Thomas and Mary (Morris) Easter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Kenneth Kinney, and her two brothers, Thomas and Morris Easter.
After moving from Westfield, Massachusetts with her husband, Kenneth, in 1963, Lois became an active member of the Edison Memorial United Methodist Church where she served on many committees over the years. Lois and Kenneth owned K & H Construction and Prestige Pools and she worked for the companies until retiring in 1982. For many years Lois volunteered for Habitat for Humanity in Norwalk, Ohio and Tucson, Arizona. She enjoyed traveling, playing bridge, canning fruits and vegetables, and gardening.
She is survived by her son, Roger (Cathy) Kinney of Norwalk, Ohio, daughters, Linda Busek of Palo Alto, California, and Debra (Daniel) Hildebrand of San Juan, Puerto Rico. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jeffrey (Ashley) Kinney of Norwalk, Ohio, Benjamin (Ali) Hildebrand of Middlebury, Connecticut, and Sarah (Reid) Diamond of Dedham, Massachusetts, and her six great grandchildren, Mason, Claire, and Corynne Kinney, Anders and James Hildebrand, and Wesley Diamond.
There will be no visitation.
A memorial service for Lois and Kenneth (died August 14, 2011) will be held at the Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio, on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at 3:00 p.m.
