Karen J. (Kiser) Dicken, 51, Clyde, passed away on Wednesday morning, September 11, 2013 in Stein Hospice Care Center after her battle with cancer.
She was born on March 14, 1962 in Sandusky to Carol Ann (Wilkins) and the late Donald V. Kiser, Sr.
She graduated from Sandusky High School in 1981, and was a homemaker for many years. Karen was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. She loved (and excelled at) taking care of her home and yard, and she loved collecting. Karen was a sensitive, loving, and caring person who never forgot a birthday. She will be greatly missed.
Karen is survived by her husband, Randy Dicken, whom she married on May 17, 1985; children, Holly (Ben) Cheek, of Sun City, Arizona and Shawn Dicken, of Clyde; mother, Carol Ann (Wilkins) Kiser, of Sandusky; siblings, Donald (Frances) Kiser, Jr., of Sandusky, Michele (Charles) Smith, of Berlin Heights, Kevin (Yvonne) Kiser, of Sandusky, and Lori (James) Coffman, of Alto, Michigan; and several nieces, nephews, and close friends.
She was preceded in death by her son, Brian, on January 5, 1988; father, Donald Kiser, Sr., on January 25, 2009; and a sister in infancy, Kimberly, on March 3, 1959.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10 A.M. on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 510 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Rev. Joe Steinbauer will officiate. A luncheon will immediately follow the Memorial Mass. Burial will be at a later date in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde, where Deacon Jeff Claar will preside over the committal service.
