Charles D. Taubler, 87, of Norwalk, Ohio, died Wednesday, September 11, 2013 in Fisher-Ttius Medical Center.
He was born July 19, 1926 in Josephine, Pennsylvania to the late Harry G. and Alice (Muir) Taubler.
Charlie was a retired mechanical engineer and was active in the Masonic Lodge and several other service organizations. He was a decorated veteran serving in W.W. II and Korea with the U.S. Marine Corps receiving 3 Purple Hearts. Charlie was an avid golfer and played at many courses across the country.
Charlie is survived by his wife, Antonia (Vega) Taubler of Norwalk, Ohio, by his sister, Martha Burkley of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, by his brother, Harry Taubler of Stow, Ohio, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Jean Shinneman of Phoenix, Arizona, and by his niece, Holly Marshall of Phoenix, Arizona.
