William Charles Miller, 73, of Sandusky, passed away early Friday morning, September 27, 2013 at Firelands Regional Medical Center, following a brief illness.
He was born, August 2, 1940, in Sandusky, Ohio to the late Charles and Harriet (Zellner) Miller.
Bill was a 1958 graduate of Sandusky High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy, from 1958-1961, where he was part of the Seabee Construction Battalion. Bill was a member of the Plumbers & Pipe Fitters Union Local 42, and was employed as a welder at the Ford Motor Plant for 29 years, retiring January 1, 2004. Bill was a life time member of the AMVETS, and a member of Salem United Methodist Church, and the Sandusky Athletic Club. In his spare time, he enjoyed riding his Harley motorcycle, and spending time with his family and cat, Smoke.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Loreen (James) Miller, whom he married November 27, 1965; his two sons, Timothy (Sandy) of Mott, North Dakota, and Christopher Miller of Sandusky; three grandchildren, Dalton, Christopher, and Laura Miller.
At the family's request, there will be no services conducted. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky, Ohio is assisting the family with arrangements.
