Thomasina H. Day, 82, of Castalia, died Sunday evening, September 29, 2013, in the Lutheran Memorial Home, Sandusky, following a brief Illness.
She was born January 15, 1931 in Fall River, Mass, and graduated high school from St. Catherine Academy.
She was employed for Foster Grant, for over 10 years and later worked for Reb Plastics, Avon Lake for over 20 years before retiring. Thomasina was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church, Sandusky, and was very active in the church and was on the bereavement team for many years.
She is survived by her husband Buddy Day, to whom she married July 22, 1957; daughter Mary Day, Sandusky; son John (Sandra) Day, Genoa; two grandchildren Tina (Stephen) Green, MS and Tammy (Jon) Schwarz, MI; four great grandchildren Madison and Riley Schwarz and Abigayle and Brayden Green, sister Penny Rinfret, RI; brother Robert Hoffman, FL; God daughter Cindy Studer; and several nieces and nephews.
Thomasina was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Alice (Sousa) Hoffman; and sister Roberta Chretian.
Friends may call from 9:30 AM Wednesday, October 2, 2013, until time of services at 10:00 AM at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 428 Hayes Ave., Sandusky, OH 44870. Burial will be in Castalia Cemetery.
