Max L. Houseman, 61, Sandusky, died Sunday, October 6, 2013, in the Stein Hospice Care Center, after a brief illness.
He was born in Sandusky on March 17, 1952.
Max was employed as an auto mechanic for over 16 years before going to Goodwill Industries for the last 7 years.
He loved country music, watching NASCAR races, gun collecting, hunting, shooting, and cooking.
He is survived by his son, F.E. (Nicole) Houseman, Sandusky; step daughters, Mary Jane (Gerald) Crayton, Sandusky and Sharon (Kim) Testa, Port Clinton; step sons, Woodie (Barb) Hutchinson, and Bob (Marvel) Hutchinson, both of Sandusky, Don Hutchinson, Illinois, and Scott Grimm, Port Clinton; several grandchildren: sister, Julie (Houseman) Ramos, Sandusky; and brother, Rex Houseman, Huron; several other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty (Pollard) Houseman in 2012; parents, F.E. and Jacqueline (Faulkner) Houseman; grandparents, George and Mary Faulkner; and a sister, Kathy (Houseman) Ross.
At the request of Max there will be no visitation or services, cremation will take place in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Burial will take place at a later date in Elliston Cemetery.
