Carol Ann Tussey, 75, of Norwalk, Ohio, died Saturday, October 12, 2013 at Gaymont Nursing Center, Norwalk, Ohio, after a brief illness.
She was born August 19, 1938 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late Paul and Kathryn (Kimbel) Tussey.
In her early years she lived in Gaithersburg, Maryland and did clerical work for the U.S. Government in Washington, D.C. and also worked at Dick's Sporting Goods. She was an avid fan of the Washington Redskins. Carol moved to Norwalk in 2005. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and Eagles Aerie #711 Auxiliary. Carol enjoyed playing cards and games and visiting with family and friends. She also enjoyed watching sports on T.V., especially the Cleveland Indians.
Carol is survived by her brother, Robert Tussey, and Aunt, Marguerite Tussey, both of Norwalk, Ohio, by her nephew, Michael Tussey (Cecilia) of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, by her nieces, Karen Ritchey of Hilliard, Ohio and Diane Tussey of Sandusky, Ohio, and by a great niece, and 5 great nephews.
Friends may call on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 16, 2013 in St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 East Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. The Reverend Msgr. Kenneth Morman will officiate. Interment will be at a later date in Northside Catholic Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
