Ronald S. Cooper, age 67, of Castalia, died unexpectedly Tuesday morning, October 15, 2013, at his residence.
He was born October 8, 1946, in Sandusky, and graduated from Sandusky High School in 1965.
He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the American Legion, Amvets, and V.F.W., where he was a former Commander. Ron worked for Sandusky Foundry, retiring after 30 plus years. He was a huge fan of the all the Cleveland sports teams and Ohio State, and he loved to play golf, fish, and go bowling.
He is survived by two sons Steve (Stacey) Cooper, Toledo and Brian Cooper, Sandusky; step son John (Samantha) Stein; five grandchildren; father James Cooper; sister Diane Babcok, Sandusky; and two nephews.
Ron was preceded in death by his mother Beulah (Lauber) Cooper; granddaughter Brooke Cooper; and brother James Cooper Jr.
Friends may call from 10 AM until time of services at 12 Noon, Friday, October 18, 2013, at Ransom Funeral Home, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia.
