Lucille A. (Weisenberger) Trendy, age 94, of Norwalk passed away Sunday, October 20, 2013 at Fisher-Titus Medical Center.
She was born January 21, 1919 in Norwalk to the late Frederick and Edna (Stoll) Weisenberger.
She was a 1937 graduate of St. Paul High School and was a lifelong member of St. Paul Catholic Church. In her earlier years she worked at Norwalk Truck Line and GTE telephone in Norwalk for many years. She was a former volunteer at Fisher-Titus, a poll worker for the Huron County Board of Elections, member of the Daughters of Isabella and a Eucharistic Minister. She enjoyed playing cards, reading, cooking, baking and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her children, Stephen and Susan Trendy of Columbus, Joseph and Dawn Trendy of Rochester, NY and Linda (Jerry) Lindsay of Toledo; grandchildren, Hannah, Christopher, Sarah and Josh; great-grandchildren, Camryn, Makenzie, Madison and Evangeline.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Stanley J. Trendy in 2005; brothers, Gilbert Weisenberger and Robert Weisenberger; sisters, Marie Weisenberger and Mildred Heitz.
Friends may call on Thursday from 4 - 6 at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 10:30 A.M. at St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 E. Main Street, Norwalk. Monsignor Ken Morman, pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery.
