Arlene E. Ott, 98, of Monroeville, Ohio, died Sunday, October 20, 2013 in Fisher-Titus Medical Center.
She was born August 13, 1915 in Bronson Township, Ohio to the late Clarence P. and Maude (Fisher) Geiger and was a lifelong area resident.
Arlene was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society. She enjoyed cross stitching, sewing, cooking, and playing cards. Arlene was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She is survived by her children, Mary Beth Ott of Fremont, Ohio, Linus W. "Butch" and Donna Ott of Monroeville, Ohio and Thomas C. and Ida Ott of Monroeville, Ohio, 5 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren. Arlene is also survived by her brother, Alfred Thomas of Cleveland, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Linus F. Ott in 1988, by her brothers, William "Bill" Geiger and Arthur "Art" Geiger, and by her sister, Bette Fell.
Friends may call on Thursday, October 24, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 25, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 1322 Settlement Road, Norwalk, Ohio. Rev. Nathan Bockrath, Associate Pastor of St. Paul Catholic Church will officiate. Interment will be in St. Alphonsus Cemetery.
