Charles P. Deegan, 86, died January 21, 2011 in the Ohio Veterans Home, Sandusky. Born in Cleveland, he was a U.S. Army veteran of WW II, where he received a purple heart. His hobbies included bowling, playing cards, and watching all the Cleveland sports teams. He is survived by children: Paul Deegan, Sean Deegan, Catherine Deegan, Patricia Deegan Brown and Robin Deegan Karda, brother: Harvey Deegan, grandson and great grandson. Preceded in death by his wife: Jean Beyerle Deegan. Friends may call Monday from 9:30 AM until time of Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in the Giffin Chapel of the Ohio Veterans Home, 3416 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. A Military funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in the Ohio Veterans Home Cemetery.
