Gerald l. Giordano, 77, of Norwalk, Ohio, died Wednesday, November 6, 2013 in Briarfield of Milan Nursing Center.
He was born August 16, 1936 in Batavia, New York to the late Anthony I. and Aurora (Bowen) Giordano and came to this area from Batavia.
Gerald was a member of the Norwalk First Baptist Church, and was the entertainment chairman of Eagles Aerie#711, Norwalk, Ohio. He was a diesel mechanic for Midway Trucking Company, Monroeville, Ohio, retiring in 2001. At age 13, he joined the Circus as a clown. Gerald enjoyed dancing, yard work, gambling, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Mary L. (Arnold) Giordano of Norwalk, Ohio, by his children, Terry and Ron Firestone of Lakewood, Ohio, Maureen Gerber of Warsaw, Indiana, Sharon Fite of Batavia, New York, Kim Fite and her partner, Katie Badamy of Sandusky, Ohio, and David Fite of Columbus, Ohio, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Gerald is also survived by his twin, Geraldine Anderson of Sandusky, Ohio and by his brother, Robert Kent of Batavia, New York.
Friends may call on Monday, November 11, 2013 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Dr. Paul Lamb will officiate. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Norwalk, Ohio.
