Maurice "Eddie" Knapp, 88, a resident of the Ohio Veterans Home, Sandusky and formerly of Bellville, Ohio went to be with the Lord on Sunday morning, November 10, 2013.
Born to Lester and Ruby Knapp on September 5, 1925 in Mansfield, Ohio, he was a lifelong area resident.
He graduated from Mansfield High School, and was a U.S. Navy veterans of WW II. He worked at the Mansfield Tire Company and was the owner and barber at "Miracle Mile Barber Shop". Eddie loved the Lord and enjoyed his retirement traveling the United States with his wife, telling everyone he met about the gospel of Jesus Christ. He has been a resident of the Ohio Veterans Home, Sandusky for the past several years.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Juanita Fellure Knapp, one brother: Dennis Knapp, one sister: Donna (Walt) Simpson, nieces, nephews and step-children.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister: Marilyn, and his first wife: Mildred.
Friends may call Wednesday, November 13, 2013 from 11:00 AM until time of Military Service at 11:30 AM in the Giffin Chapel of the Ohio Veterans Home, 3416 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. Burial will be in the Ohio Veterans Home Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Stein Hospice Service, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, Ohio 44870.
